Before we were blessed with oils in the salons, we would use serums on the hair, whilst serums are fantastic in their own right, they sit on the hair in a totally different way. Oils are considered very hair friendly, they tend to help temporarily rebuild the structure of the hair, completely minimising the frizz.
My favourite hair oil is Mythic Oil by L’oreal (available at our salon), it's very reasonably priced and lasts forever. It's core ingredients are avocado oil and grape-seed oil. A few drops of this miracle oil and your hair will feel considerately less frizzy. I find this oil is suitable for all hair types. If your hair is on the finer side, I would suggest using slightly less and if your hair is on the thicker side use slightly more.
One client of mine who suffers with oily roots, has said that she found using a couple of drops on her hair when wet and blow drying helped to rebalance the natural oil within her hair and that oily roots became less of a problem.
